The machining of plastics and composites is a demanding task and at the same time a key technology, as its versatile products have become indispensable in all the important industries from automotive to aerospace. Reichenbacher Hamuel present innovative technology for the efficient machining of these materials in hall 8b at stand G40.

Milling, grinding or polishing: realistic 5-axes processes are shown live at the Composite Europe, where real parts are machined by the CNC-centre ECO-LT at original speeds. In addition to a special cardanic 5-axes working head and other technical highlights, at Düsseldorf this line features our unique solution for the machine table. You can see a live demonstration of the innovative freeze clamping technology at a fair for the very first time. It permits the clamping of parts from very difficult materials with ice. A part made from material with a honeycomb structure is used to demonstrate the obvious advantages of this clamping solution over conventional technologies.  

The CNC-machining centre ECO-LT is the modern adaptation of a proven series to the requirements of our users. A multitude of part versions, as well as the demands for immediate availability and maximum flexibility, are just some of the challenges the manufacturers of parts from plastics and composites are confronted with. The ECO-LT, which consists of a low-vibration frame construction and is completely enclosed, is equipped with a stationary machining table. It permits not only fully automatic cut-out, contour and profile milling, but also high-grade grinding and polishing processes. At maximum feeds and consistently high machining quality, it ensures a high degree of productivity.
